Before founding IronGlove Studio® in 2017, Derek spent years as a freelance developer specializing in PHP and DevOps. After military service, he went through the Northwest Reboot program from 2016 to 2019, a taxpayer-funded initiative that updated his technical and business skills for the civilian market. That investment paid off: Derek's now running a growing agency, employing others, and serving Oregon businesses while expanding nationally. He holds a Master's in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and undergraduate work in business and marketing, which means he can talk strategy with your CMO and troubleshoot server configurations with your IT team.
A service-connected USAF veteran, Derek hand-selected his team and runs the studio with discipline: clear objectives, honest and frank communications, and accountability at every step.
